LUYOR-365L Fluorescent Leak Detection Flashlight

LUYOR-365L is a compact, lightweight, portable florescent leak detection lamp. Equipped with 4 high-power 365nm UVA LEDs, LUYOR-365L produces a large coverage area up to 150mm. Powered by a high-capacity lithium battery, LUYOR-365L provides instant-on operation and can work continually for 3-4 hours after fully charged.

Leak Detection Principle

The leak detection principle is that LUYOR Fluorescent Leak Detection Dye will emit bright yellow green light under the illumination of ultraviolet light. LUYOR-365L Fluorescent Leak Detection Flashlight, also known as black light flashlight, can emit ultraviolet light which excites the fluorescence of the fluorescent tracer and enables users to discover leakage points in various systems. Fluorescent leak detection is a preventive and planned maintenance method that can measure leaks in air conditioning refrigeration, oil and water systems.

LUYOR fluorescent leak detection flashlights are safe, economical, and effective. With LUYOR-365L, small leaks can be easily detected in any system. It can be used in any fluid system without damaging the performance of the fluid and system components in the original system. We also offers LUYOR-6100 Fluorescent Leak Detection Dye for industrial fluids or hydraulic systems, which are particularly effective in detecting small pinhole size leaks in gaskets, seals, O-rings, and pipelines. LUYOR-6100 Fluorescent Leak Detection Dye is excellent for detecting gasoline and diesel leaks in storage tanks, fuel lines, and fuel injection pipelines. LUYOR-6200 can be used to detect static or circulating water system leaks in large systems such as nuclear power plants, power plant condensers, and water storage tanks. In addition, LUYOR provides specialized fluorescent dye for leak detection in offset printing machines, milling machines, locomotive engine oil circuit coolers, and oil cooler leaks.

Operation Guide

  1. First, wear LUV-10 ultraviolet protective glasses to protect your eyes from the UV light.

  2. Add a certain proportion of fluorescent leak detection agent to the system.

  3. After the system operates for 3 to 20 minutes, use LUYOR-365L Fluorescent Leak Detection Flashlight to illuminate the outside of the system. The leak points will emit strong fluorescence and become easily visible. Then you can quickly detect any small leaks in the system.

LUYOR-365L Fluorescent Leak Detection Flashlight Applications

Aviation, vehicles, ships, diesel locomotives, metallurgy, coal mining, refrigeration and air conditioning, HVAC engineering, petrochemical, engineering, machinery and other industries.

Fluorescent leak detection for closed-cycle or non-cycle systems such as engine lubrication, power steering, transmission, hydraulic transmission, cooling of liquefied gas transmission pipelines or storage equipment.

All automotive air conditioners, household air conditioners, central air conditioners, and other commercial air conditioners.

Whether it is a refrigeration system (e.g. R12, R22, R134a, R407c, R600a, BrLi, CFC, HCFC, HC, etc.) or a system containing oil phase (PAG, POE, AB, MA, DRA, etc.), water phase, lubrication, power, and media of various alkanes and olefins, LUYOR-365L is a high-performance tool for fluorescence leak detection.

Frequently Asked Questions about LUYOR-365L

Why do we use 365nm light for leak detection?

Fluorescent leak detection lamps have ultraviolet light sources, purple light sources, blue light sources, and white light sources. Why dow we choose ultraviolet light sources? The reason is that UV light is not visible while purple light, blue light, and white light are all visible. Visible light interferes with the fluorescence emitted by the fluorescent dye at the leakage point. Therefore, it is necessary to wear yellow fluorescence viewing glasses. Even with glasses, we may miss some leak points due to light interference. Therefore, UV light source is an optimal choice and it is excellent for discovering small leakage points. LUYOR-365L uses 4 high-power 365nm LEDs as light sources, which can emit strong ultraviolet light and easily locate leakage points.

Safety concerns?

Some people are worried about the harm of ultraviolet radiation to operators. In fact, the frequently reported harm of ultraviolet radiation to people in the news is the short-wave ultraviolet disinfection lamp, which has strong damage to human skin. LUYOR-365L uses a narrow band ultraviolet light source and does not have short-wave or medium-wave ultraviolet radiation. You only need to wear the provided LUV-10 ultraviolet protective glasses when using LUYOR-365L.

Why do we choose LUYOR-365L for leak detection?

LUYOR-365L VS Traditional high-pressure mercury lamps

Traditional high-pressure mercury lamps use 100W high-pressure mercury lamp bulbs, with a start-up time of 5 minutes, a lifespan of 800 hours, and a surface temperature of around 200 degrees Celsius. The price ranges from 700 to 1,000 USD, and the annual maintenance cost ranges from 300 to 400 USD. LUYOR-365L overcomes various drawbacks mentioned above and has higher intensity compared with traditional mercury lamps.
