We are proud to share that one of our customers has successfully used the LUYOR-3415RG Dual Fluorescent Protein Excitation Lamp to detect the DsRed expression in corn seeds.
Visualizing DsRed with LUYOR-3415RG
DsRed is a red fluorescent protein originally isolated from Discosoma coral. Unlike the widely used green fluorescent protein (GFP), DsRed emits fluorescence in the red region of the spectrum, making it highly useful for multicolor imaging, protein localization, and transgenic screening.
In a research conducted by one of our customers, DsRed was introduced into corn seeds. The red fluorescence signal was observed directly under the LUYOR-3415RG Dual Fluorescent Protein Excitation Lamp, allowing rapid and non-destructive identification of DsRed-positive seeds. In addition, this customer successfully took clear photos with a LUV-590A camera filter (photo below).
