INTRODUCTION
Laser speed sensor, also known as speed photoelectric sensor, speed sensor, Rotational speed sensors or laser speed photoelectric probe, emits laser light through a laser transmitter to illuminate a rotating object. The object reflects the laser back, and the laser receiver filters and amplifies the reflected pulse signal. The speed sensor is capable of measuring the rotational speed of various rotating objects from a distance.

Laser photoelectric speed sensor is a sensor that uses the laser photoelectric effect to measure the speed of an object. The main measurement principle is to determine the rotational speed of an object by utilizing the characteristics of the reflected laser beam on the surface of the object. When the laser beam strikes the surface of an object, it will be reflected back to the sensor. The photosensitive element in the sensor can convert the reflected laser signal into electrical signals, and by processing these electrical signals, the rotational speed of the object can be determined.
When using a laser photoelectric speed sensor, it is necessary to fix the sensor on the object to be measured and ensure that the laser beam is perpendicular to the surface of the object. When an object starts to rotate, the laser beam will be reflected back to the sensor. As the rotation speed changes, the reflected signal will also change accordingly. By processing the reflected signal, the rotation period and angle of the object can be determined. Thus, the number of rotations and angular velocity of the object per second can be calculated. These data can be used for controlling and monitoring in the control system.
ROLS-5PW Remote Optical Laser Sensor is a high-precision, high-sensitivity, and high-reliability sensor that measures the speed of an object based on the principle of photoelectric effect. It's versatile and easy to operate. ROLS-5PW can be widely used in industrial automation control, mechanical manufacturing, aerospace and other fields.

1. What is the voltage and power of the remote optical laser sensor?
The voltage of the remote optical laser sensor is 5V, and the current is 35mA.
2. What is the output signal of the remote optical laser sensor?
The output is a TTL signal (PNP signal).
3. How to connect the sensor cable?
The sensor signal wire consists of three wires: brown connected to positive power supply, blue connected to common, black connected to the signal, and shielding connected to the housing ground.
4. How many meters can the signal cable be extended?
The standard configuration is a 2.4m. You can also choose 7.6m, 15m, 30m, or 60m.
5. Is it necessary to use reflective stickers for measuring rotational speed?
Yes, stickers reflect laser beams back to the receiver. Stickers are necessary for accurate measurement.
6. How far can the target be measured?
Within 7.6 meters.
7. Is the sensor waterproof?
The sensor cannot be washed with water. When using outdoor, be sure to cover it from the rain.
8. How long is the lifespan of the sensor?
The average lifespan of LED laser is 5,000-20,000 hours.
9. How to repair the sensor?
Please do not attempt to disassemble the sensor by yourself. The sensor must be repaired by professionals from LUYOR Service Center.
10. What is the blue LED on the back used for?
The blue LED on the back is the signal indicator. It will blink at the input frequency rate when the ROLS is properly aimed. It will blink on and off at slow speeds and remain on steady at high speeds.
11. Can sensors be connected to other manufacturers' stroboscopic devices as external trigger signal inputs
Yes, but it is necessary to connect according to the instructions provided by the stroboscope manufacturer. LUYOR sells connection cables for Monarch, Rheintacho, and Shimpo DT3015N.
12. Is the sensor portable?
Yes, SPLS-5PW has a built-in lithium battery.
13. Can ROLS-5PW be used outdoor?
Yes, ROLS-5PW has a built in high-frequency filter, so it is not affected by light interference. Be sure to cover it from the rain.
14. What is TTL Signal?
TTL signal is a level signal, which refers to a signal represented by a level value. The TTL level signal specifies that+5V is equivalent to logic "1" and 0V is equivalent to logic "0" (when data is represented in binary). This method of data communication and level regulation is called a TTL (Transistor Transistor Logic Level) signal system.
